Product Description Definitive`s new ProCinema 600 System is our new entry-level 6-piece home theater system. Its surprisingly affordable price belies its remarkable sophistication. The ProCinema 600 System incorporates the same new technologies and advancements, including BDSS drivers, pure aluminum dome tweeters, planar medite passive radiators and a 250-watt SuperCube technology powered subwoofer, which have made the new ProCinema 1000 and 800 systems instant mega hits.
The satellites and center channel are available in high-gloss hand-rubbed piano gloss black (with matching black subwoofer) or gloss white. The satellites can be shelf-mounted with their unique tri-lobed base, wall-mounted using the built-in keyhole mount or optional pivot mount or stand-mounted with their optional floor stands. The center channels have an adjustable foot for shelf- mounting or can be wall-mounted using their built-in threaded inserts.
Sonically, the new ProCinema 600 System is a revelation in terms of achieving incredible sound at an affordable price. Their imaging
is absolutely boxless, spacious and three-dimensional while delivering pinpoint specificity and localization when called for. They are velvety smooth with a you-are-there presence which is unique at any price and unheard of in this price range. The 600 system is dynamic but capable of great subtlety so it excels equally with music or movies.

Buy these speakers!! October 12, 2008 Concession Card (Tinley Park, IL United States) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
Fantastic sound, you won't be upset with this purchase!!
Great sound, very attractive, nice solid weight to the speakers, definitly not cheap flimsy crap!! Easy to set up although they recommend your front speakers plug into the Sub and not straight from your receiver. Nice seperation of sound, very impressed. Would buy these all over again!!
Get the floor stands, very solid and worth the $99 a pair.
All speakers come with Bannana type plugs that plug in or you can unscrew and feed wire in. I found a great deal on Amazon for gold plugs by Dayton and made my own cables with 14 guage wire, much cleaner install than straight wire.
These are the speakers to buy! April 30, 2009 J. Gomez (san antonio, tx) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
Let me start by saying I research everything extensively before I buy it, especially home audio. I initially thought I wanted bose acoustimass, but all the reviews were mixed. My biggest criteria was small speakers. I previously had tower Sonys and bose surround, but was ready for a more hidden look. I whittled the research down to mirage nanosats or these. I was skeptical spending $600+ without hearing them and went to the local best buy where I could listen to both. They both sound great, but the definitive sounded a bit fuller and I couldn't get used to the nanosats. Setup is a bit odd, but well worth the sound. Plenty of tight bass, but not too boomy and the mids and highs are clear and lifelike.
So far, so good! August 5, 2008 L. Smallwoo (Nashville, Tn) 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
I'm no audio/stereophile, but these speakers sound great in my small-medium sized room. The packaging was really well done (they fit everything in there nice and tight) and the speakers themselves are good-looking and discreet. The subwoofer has a lot of power and a very easy to reach volume control. These plugged right in to my Denon receiver and sounds great! I'd recommend.
Worth every penny. June 6, 2009 Sahil K. Charania I purchased these speakers about a month ago with a Denon receiver and they are definitely worth the price. If you watch a lot of movies and want to have spectacular sound I would highly recommend this item. One of the first movies I watched after purchasing this was Transformers on Bluray and it was just a fantastic experience. The whole room was pretty much shaking.
Esthetically Pleasing October 26, 2009 Peter Haluszka (Cleveland, OH. U.S.A) I am very pleased with the sound quality and very happy with how they look. This is Def Tech's lowest priced surround sound system and a great choice for someone who does not want to go broke creating a home theatre set up. I have never had a surround sound system but i've heard many, and these measure up well with most. The other speaker systems in this price range are still good but the deal breaker for me was the fact that there is an actual center channel instead of just another satellite speaker. I mounted mine on the wall with the pro 80 mounts which have an awesome design and can be rotated almost anywhere you want. There is also a secure & stable tripod style base to set on your TV stand or a shelf. I plan on adding two pro 800's as my front left and right so I will have a 7.1 surround.
